indigo architects was established in 1998 in Ahmedabad as a collaborative studio practice, headed by Mausami and Uday Andhare, and continues to be supported by a team of dedicated and enthused professionals and artisans.
The work follows an integrated design approach incorporating master planning, architectural design, landscape design and
interior design. The design process at indigo, seeks to resolve the paradoxes between client needs, economics, site conditions and climate to explore sustainable and resilient solutions. A deep understanding of the physical, social and cultural dimensions becomes the generative tool to transform the commonplace, into a distinctive experience.
