Uday Andhare is design principal at indigo architects since 1998. He steers the studio with a belief in a technically appropriate and ecologically sensitive approach that weaves together, threads of traditional wisdom into design.

An approach, he believes, can make architecture expressive and meaningful. He has been a visiting faculty in architecture, urban design and the program in sustainable design at his alma mater, CEPT University Ahmedabad since 1998. His academic qualifications include an undergraduate degree in Architecture from CEPT University Ahmedabad, India in 1993 and a Masters Degree in Architecture with honors from the University of New Mexico, USA in 1995. Uday has interned with Dr. B.V Doshi at his studio ‘Sangaath’ in Ahmedabad and the Design and Development Division of the City Of Albuquerque, New Mexico USA. He has work experience as project architect with DES Engineering Systems Inc. Redwood City California, prior to setting up indigo architects in Ahmedabad India.
